E.N Welch American Rosewood 30 Hour Shelf Clock (Circa 1870)
A rosewood veneered OG case with figured satin wood surround.
The hand painted white dial has a shaped pierced centre with flowers to the corners which sits above an original hand painted glass tablet with floral pattern.
The blued steel hands are powered by a 30 hour weight driven movement, which strikes the hours on a gong.
A label on the back board indicates that the clock was produced by E.N Welch who were based in Forestville Connecticut from 1864.
