Chauncey & Jerome Mahogany Double OG Shelf Clock (Circa 1865)

An American double OG shelf clock, originating from New Haven Connecticut.

The case with two separate doors surmounted by a Mahogany double OG mold veneered in flame mahogany.

An intricate hand painted tablet below a white painted dial with pierced centre and floral corners.

Polished blued steel hands are powered by a weight driven 8-day movement which strikes the hours on a gong.

A label on the back board indicates that it was produced by Chauncey & Jerome, also another label with Camerer, Cuss & co, a possible repair or retail label perhaps.
