Caledonian Clock Company, Rosewood Inlaid Pole Clock, (Circa 1850)

   An exemplary, rosewood case intricately inlaid, American wall clock, manufactured by the Caledonian Clock Company (Circa 1850).

   The case which has a full length glazed door with an ornate cloth covered fretwork internally and surmounts the dial.

   Two extremely intricately turned pillars with a carved arched top above with a double scroll base inlaid with fruitwood, swans and floral inlay, also an Intricate chequered stringing to door and edges of casing.

   The dial has an inner and outer polished brass sight rings with moon shaped blued steel hands.

   The movement which has an ebonised wooden shaft pendulum, with a large polished brass bob runs the 8-day movement striking the hour on a gong.
