S Jenkins, Sheraton Style Barometer, 68 Red Lion St, Holt, London, (Circa 1820)

   A fine conch shell inlaid, mahogany wheel barometer signed, S Jenkins 68 Red Lion St, Holt, London.

   The case with double stringing around rich mahogany veneers, inlaid with conch shell paterae capped with an architectural top and brass finial.

   An elegant wooden thermometer box has a silvered dial and alcohol thermometer tube, is positioned over the polished brass bezel of the barometer, which houses the flat glass, brass setting hand and  the 8” silvered engraved dial, with blued steel hand.

This barometer has been fully restored, re-tubed and in perfect working order and carries a 12 month guarantee.
