S Lilly, Sheraton style Barometer, Edinburgh, (Circa 1820)

   A fine mahogany banjo shaped mercury wheel barometer in Sheraton style, the case has ebony and boxwood stringing, framing the figured mahogany veneers, with shell and floral paterae, all capped by an architectural top with brass final.

   A long thermometer box with an engraved silvered scale sits over the 8” silvered dial signed S.Lilly Edinburgh, which is then surmounted by a polished brass bezel with flat glass and setting hand to the centre.

  
This barometer has been fully restored, re-tubed and in perfect working order and carries a 12 month guarantee.
