Thomas Strange, Banbury, Mahogany Bracket Clock (Circa1850).
A fine quality eight day, solid Mahogany bracket clock By Thomas Strange High Street Banbury, (Circa 1850) with a central pineapple finial to the centre of the chamfered top, brass flower paterae with ring carrying handles to each side and brass fish scale sound frets below.
Quarter, brass framed recessed panels surrounds the dished, glazed brass bezel and dial.
The 8" diameter dial, is of white enamel with roman numerals and minute markings.
Two winding holes are mid centre for the fusee movement and signed to the centre above and below the hollow moon shaped hands, Tho's Strange Banbury, all sat on brass ball feet.
The above Bracket clock has been fully restored and carries a 12 month guarantee.
