Colin McKenzie Inverness, Verge Movement Bracket Clock (Circa 1790).

   Fine quality mahogany bracket clock, with brass mounts, pad top and carrying handle.

   Brass fish bone frets to sides. Glazed rear door, overlaid original dial of finely engraved mask showing round dial and strike silent to arch with date aperture below finely cut brass hands.

   An original 8 day verge movement, fully stripped cleaned and serviced, with pull repeat and fully engraved back plate.

   Colin McKenzie started clock making in London 1784 - 1791 and apprenticed John McLachan in 1791, he was also known to be a spectacles maker.

The above Bracket Clock has been fully restored and carries a twelve month guarantee.
