American Ansonia Regulator A, Drop Dial Clock (Circa 1880)

   This  Ansonia Regulator A, drop dial clock, manufactured in mahogany has a traditional solid hexagonal bezel with ebonised molding to centre, the glazed door is housed in a brass bezel with brass inner sight ring and a brass inner ring to the centre of the 12"(305mm) dial.

   Original paper over zinc dial, with small subsidiary seconds dial to the centre and above the fluer de le pattern hands, with the two winding holes below, striking the hours on a gong, all housed in a veneered case all with original finish and in excellent condition.

   The original beat scale is retained at the rear of the traditional cast Iron/brass faced pendulum which is held on a traditional ebonised shaft, with the standard nut adjuster at the base.

   This item has now been fully restored throughout and in excellent working order.
